The Theme
Our theme was minimalistic with a little bit of an edge. I chose a lot of black accents, like a black Soho marquee, black Bentwood chairs and matching black cutlery, which was a modern contrast against the white linen and the SA Museum backdrop [where we had our reception]

The Flowers
I didn’t want flowers on the tables, so we decided to have food as our table décor. Out in the Paddock did an amazing job at this – they did a cheese and charcuterie arrangement with a mix of seafood, which was presented beautifully. For my bouquet, I wanted mainly green foliage with white florals. Out in the Paddock added some nude/blush florals, which I loved as it really enhanced the venue and brought an extra dimension to the arrangements.

The Dress
Caterina Varacalli made two dresses for me – she really took the time to understand and create exactly whatI wanted. The day dress was a strapless, plain white fabric with a high split and an A-line overskirt; I wanted it simple and structured yet effective. Caterina talked me into having a beaded dress for the evening, which I ended up loving! It was a sparkly, fitted, slip type dress with a leg split and thin straps.

The Morning
We got ready at Blancspace Maison, which is a beautiful office space in the city. The space really matched the vibe of the wedding and ended up being a great backdrop for photos! All of my close friends and family got ready together with lots of food and music. We also had Lebanese drums as part of our tradition when the bride ‘leaves’ her home. Zaffit provided the drumming entertainment for us!
