How to: Flawless Wedding-Ready Skin
The key to achieving flawless, wedding-ready skin starts with a routine designed for your skin, that combines glow-boosting treatments and maximal hydration. Think a radiant, dewy complexion that will keep you camera-ready all day. We spoke with Alexia Rocha, founder and director of Alexia Rocha Aesthetics on how to achieve the ‘glass’ skin look.
Dehydration, uneven skin tone, large pores and bumpy texture are some of the biggest complaints Alexia is presented with by brides-to-be at her Goodwood clinic. To combat this, Alexia says her number one pre-wedding day treatment is a Dermaplaning facial combined with an enzyme peel, some LED light therapy and a collagen mask. “This treatment will leave your skin super hydrated, [and] make-up will sit beautifully and last all day long.
”It’s best to book a skin consultation six months in advance [as] some concerns may take several months to be corrected. The BioRePeel is our favourite ‘no downtime chemical peel’ and it addresses all skin concerns. We advise four to six sessions, spaced seven to 10 days apart. A leader in the semi-permanent make-up space (Alexia was the first microblading artist in Adelaide) she adds that “eyebrows can also be an anti-ageing treatment for some clients. We can reshape and reposition the brows in a way that gives the overall appearance of a ‘mini facelift’. For brides who prefer a natural look, they don’t need any make-up on their brows and their photos will look amazing!”
