“There’s a lot of natural colours, too,” says owner Sam Worrall-Thompson, commenting on his cool city-fringe venue. He’s the brains behind some of Adelaide’s favourites eateries, like Bar Lune and Dolly, as well as events company, Kitchen Catering by Sam. Having worked in some of the top kitchens around the world, Sam’s skillset is revered in Adelaide’s hospitality scene – he knows food, wine and the right vibe make for an unforgettable experience.
Vietnamese beef tartare with lotus chips and kaffir lime, Japanese fried chicken and tempura bug tails are just some of the canapes you can expect at cocktail events, which can cater up to 160 patrons. Intimate engagements are also popular – Fettle has a unique sliding door that can corner off space for parties of up to 80, perfect for couples who are after something a little cosier.
As the evening continues and wine flows, Fettle can even cure your late-night cravings. Dan Dan noodle boxes, mac and cheese balls and toasties with truffle and mushrooms or a classic ham and cheese combo will satisfy any guest who’s worked up an appetite on the dancefloor.
For sit-down dinners, expect outstanding courses of Middle Eastern lamb with salsa verde, muhammara and a squeeze of lemon, cacio e pepe orecchiette with truffle, black pepper and parmesan, or blue swimmer gigli with roasted tomatoes, chilli and confit garlic served by Fettle’s expert staff. The venue can fit up to 60 people seated, with contemporary black and timber tables and chairs available to use.
